This was my very first cosplay, since the disastrous projects I put together in high school. Rydia is one of my all time favorites, so I had to cosplay her. I love the Amano interpretations, but I decided that I'm not quite seasoned enough as a cosplayer to construct that. Haha, maybe one day! I learned a lot from this costume and it's very special to me, despite some of its imperfections.

Thank you so much! It means a lot, especially because Rydia is one of my favorite video game heroines. I would even love to one day make an Amano styled Rydia, but I want my cosplay skills to level up a little bit more first ^^;

Your Rydia is one of my absolute favorites! It means a lot to hear that from such a wonderful cosplayer. Maybe one day I'll take on the task of Amano styled Rydia XD;

I did maybe 2 or 3 not so serious cosplays waaaaaay back, when I was a wee highschool student (probably about 14 or 15 years old), so Rydia isn't technically my first, but she is my first serious cosplay. I wasn't able to go to any cons for a very long period of time, so my sewing machine kind of sat for a while collecting dust, until I decided I wanted to give cosplay a shot again, while I'm still young and have time.

I poured so much effort into this and for you to say I should do commission work is a big compliment, so thank you ^///^ Unfortunately, I'm such a slow worker, so I don't think I could ever sew actual costumes for people. Maybe once I become a more seasoned cosplayer, I can look into doing accessory work :]

Yeah. I know how you feel. :) It takes me forever to finish any cosplaying projects, too. I'm working on a Princess Garnet cosplay on Saturday. :worry: The cosplay itself is her actual, "Princess" outfit. I'm going to David's Bridal this weekend to get the dress. I hope it won't cost too much money but since its just a simple, strapless dress, the bill shouldn't be THAT bad.

I plan on sewing all the olive-branch and golden emblems for the rest of the month. I hope it will be ready in time for Megacon. My Tifa cosplay was horrible last year. My face looked so fat in all my pictures! :shakefist:

Thankfully, I lost a lot of the weight I that gained last year. I hope my pics come out better!
